There are data sticks available for IDEA, Airtel and Vodafone in the nearby village Kulapalayam. Reception for Airtel is not so good where IACC is located.
Tata Photon DOES NOT work anywhere in Auroville.
There are a couple cafes with free Wi-fi access and then there is Wi-fi hotspots by "Blue Light AV group" in numerous places including La Terrace and Farm Fresh. The facility at La Terrace also has computers if you are not carrying your own.
There are a couple of "Browsing centers" in Kulapalayam as well.
